The Widows Son is an album project conceived by Thom Williams. He and
Mike Cox have been planning the release and promotion of the CD for
several years. Thom had composed several arrangements of the music with
Mike adding bass ideas and production assistance. Along came Mike Mogan
with his conga drums and sound effects to complete the plan. After Mike
Cox designed the studio in his home and consistently added great pieces
of equipment we knew it was about time to have some fun and fill the
dream of Jerry C. Rasor to support the children of the Central Ohio
Special Olympics. We were determined to position the music in a World of
it's own and release a project as far away from the rock-n-roll scene
as possible to give the listener every humble respect from our talents
and divide our musical message from the usual sounds heard in rotation
air play. Our mission is to send 100 kids to the field for competition
in this wonderful event this year at "The St. John's Arena".
